How long will the translation take?
As a rule of thumb, the delivery time is based on a translation speed of six standard pages per day. The date on which the original document is received and the date on which the translation is delivered are not included in this calculation.
What is a standard page?
One standard page comprises 30 lines of 55 keystrokes, including spaces. In other words, 1,650 keystrokes.
How do I find out how many keystrokes my file has?
If your text has been drawn up in MS Word, for example, select File > Properties > Statistics. Here, add up the number of characters without spaces, the number of words and the number of paragraphs. This will give you the total number of keystrokes. Divide that number by 1,650. The result is the number of standard pages in the source text. The size of the target text (the translation) will differ from the source text by approximately ± 20%.
Are discounts available?
Yes, we offer discounts to regular customers.
How do I place an order for a translation?
Several options are open to you. You’ll find us in the office nine hours a day, so you can hand over the text in person. Alternatively, you can place an order by fax, email or post. Where possible, however, we prefer to work with a text that is delivered in electronic format.
Do you adhere to the principles of trade secrecy?
All of our employees and associates are contractually bound to respect the confidentiality of all facts and data they encounter in the course of their work.
What is a certified translation?
A translation by a “court interpreter” (“soudní tlumočník”). This type of translation must be physically attached to the source text (either the original document or a notarised copy). The court interpreter adds his or her legal endorsement and official circular stamp to the final document.
