The story so far

The translation agency Kačenka.cz was established in Pardubice on 12 March 2001. Its core business was translation services from and into English. In response to growing demand for other language combinations, the service portfolio was expanded in 2002 to offer additional languages, including German, Spanish, Italian and French.

Faced with an expanding range of jobs, rising numbers of orders and ever-tighter deadlines, we set up a very large database of top-quality translators in 2003. Today, we are able to translate highly specialised texts to and from more than 40 languages.

In pursuit of an end-to-end service experience for our customers, we established partnerships with other businesses, enabling us to expand our range of services to include interpreting, proofreading, offset and digital printing, and graphic design and DTP services.

On 21 December 2004, this activity culminated in the establishment of KAČENKA.CZ s.r.o., which subsequently changed its name to czeXpress international s.r.o. on 1 January 2011.

In the past few years, market demand has increased not only for translations, but also for the production of customised termbases and glossaries. We have responded to this trend by offering translations prepared via CAT (Computer Aided Translation) software, enabling us to ensure consistency in the use of predetermined terminology throughout a project, even if multiple translators work on the same job.

Projects processed in this software not only result in better-quality translation, but also save our customers a lot of time and money.
